We can't recommend Phil Lazas more highly. From his timely, thorough and responsive estimate to the on-time and on-budget completion, Phil was fantastic every step of the way. He re-did our entire kitchen in a month-- including gorgeous custom cabinitry, new flooring, new countertops, new paint, new appliances, and an entire re-haul with electricians and plumbers. It was a lot, but Phil and his crew showed up everyday and did thorough, precise, and clean work. Phil checked in with us all the time to make sure we were involved in the process, and was flexible with the details and costs when we needed him to be. When there was something that needed tweaking post-installation (a knob out of alignment, a corner in need of more caulking), Phil had his guys come out to fix it immediately, no questions asked. The crew left everything clean at the end of every work day and maximized the amount of time we had a working kitchen, which was hugely appreciated as we have a toddler and another on the way. I honestly couldn't believe they were going to get everything done on schedule & budget, but Phil came through for us, and was truly a pleasure to work with. The kitchen is beautiful, and we look forward to working with Phil again.

Phil and his crew renovated my 1950 Cape Cod in Bethesda, turning what was an outdated and creaky house into a comfortable and modern home. They completely gutted the kitchen and three bathrooms, knocked down several walls, moved a door, built a new deck, installed recess lights and so much more. It was a great job at a fair price. Phil will listen to your ideas, as any contractor will, but what sets him apart is that he brings his own ideas to a project and isn't afraid to tell you when something isn't going to work. He also is keen to embrace fresh concepts -- installing a glass brick wall in the master bath shower, for instance. I also have to commend his crew, who were professional, reliable and tidy. Special praise to the guy who does the tile (I can't remember his name). My friends still rave about the quality of the tilework in the bathrooms and kitchen. I've already referred several friends to Phil and will continue to do so. I love my house.

Phil Lazas Contracting, LLC has done a substantial amount of work to two of my homes. He installed granite countertops in the kitchen and two of our bathrooms. They also rebuilt a portico porch. We had them do this before we put our first home on the market. That home sold in less than a week.  In our second home, Phil and his crew gutted the entire kitchen and family room, replaced the existing window, door and baseboard trim.
